Scuba Diver Course - 2 days

This is a PADI Certification course and on completion you will be issued with a Certification Card which allows you to dive to a Maximum of 12 mtrs.
It involves theory work, reading the manuals, watching videos, multiple choice question tests, and knowledge reviews at the end of each section. In between the academic sessions, you are taken in the water with one of our Instructors where you are taught and practice Scuba Diving skills.
These are demonstrated to you, then at the end of the course, you demonstrate those skills back to the Instructor.

Whilst this is a certification in its own right, it is based on part of the Open Water Course, and you have the opportunity, at any time in the future, of up-grading to an Open Water Diver.

Open Water Diver - 3 days

This is the most popular course taken by new divers.
The course is split into sections, both academic and water.
Again it involves reading the manual, watching videos, completing knowledge reviews and multiple choice questionnaires. It is interspersed with water time, where you are with an Instructor, learning and developing water skills.
The first four sections are tuition, and the final session is when you demonstrate the skills you have learned back to the Instructor. On completion of this course, you are qualified and receive Certification as an Open Water Diver which allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 18mtrs.

Advanced Open Water Course - 2 days

This course is the next step for those who already hold the Open Water Diver certification.
It comprises of 5 diving disciplines, two of which are compulsory core dives :
Deep Dive and Underwater Navigation.
You then have three others to do, which you can choose from a list provided. We can offer advice if you are unsure which ones to do.
There is some reading and knowledge reviews to do on this course, but only for the 5 elements that you are undertaking. On completion of this course, you will have a certification which allows you to dive to a depth of 30 mtrs

There is also an opportunity for you to increase your diving depth limit, and this is done as a separate Deep Dive Speciality, qualifying you to dive to a depth of 40mtrs.

Emergency First Response Course - 1 day

Not a diving course - but very useful, and an essential step towards rescue diver. The EFR course consists of 2 parts, Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid). Your instructor will show you, with a mannequin, how it is possible for ordinary people to become lifesavers. From simple cuts and abrasions to life threatening situations, the EFR course teaches you how to react in an emergency situation. Specific to divers, the use of Oxygen is also included in the course topics. This is a non-diving course, and as such is open to anyone who may have an interest in first aid.

Rescue Diver - 3 days

The PADI Rescue Diver program develops your diving knowledge and skills so you can effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manage diving accident situations and render first aid. The program is an important step in expanding your knowledge and experience as a diver. First aid training is required for this course, and the Emergency First Response course meets these requirements. PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent) certification is also a prerequisite for all PADI professional programs.

PADI Specialty Diver courses

These courses are for certified divers who want to increase their diving skills and knowledge in different areas.
The following Specialties are available;

Details of all other courses available on request.

The time quoted for the courses is the normal providing that any candidate does not experience out of the ordinary difficulties with the elements involved.
The time is quoted in days, and this usually indicates a day 9.00am to 5.00pm approx.
The days can be split, within reason, to suit you and to accommodate your other holiday commitments.

The Certification fee is included with all courses.

Due to recent changes in PADI certification requirements, all students are now required to have their own personal copy of the course manual.
We can supply these at discounted rates, however if you already have a copy then that is perfectly acceptable.
Only one manual is required per family group, and as such we still have our well stocked library of manuals available.
