Below you can find examples of accommodation available. All are a short drive to the Dive Centre but transport would be provided daily to the dive centre if required. If you wanted to walk, it is approximately 2.5km along the main Avenida, which is the long, golden sand beach. The Avenida has recently undergone major refurbishment, with wide pathways and cycleways, making hiring a bicycle both convenient and fun. The Local Area

The hotels shown below are Located in Matagorda, which is Approx. 2km from the centre of Puerto Del Carmen. Mtagorda is a much quieter area than Puerto Del Carmen, which makes it ideal for families with younger children, or anyone who is looking for somewhere a little bit more relaxed.

There are lots of smaller bars and restaurants here, as well as a good selection of shops and supermarkets.

A short, 5-10 minute walk brings you to the large sandy beach at Los Pocillos. This huge expanse of sand has permanent lifeguards and is very popular with families as there is so much space. The beach slopes very gently into the sea, with no sudden drop offs or rocky areas.

Las Marinas

The Las Marinas apartments are in a quiet location, situated only 600 meters away from the beach, shopping centre and restaurants of Matagorda. The nearest supermarket is across the road. The Las Marinas apartments are set within their own well-tended gardens and are a popular choice for couples and families alike.

Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, separate twin bedroom and a sofa bed, bathroom with bath and shower.

Matagorda has a low-key nightlife but for a livelier night out (and a later finish!) the neighbouring resort of Puerto del Carmen is only a 10 min taxi ride away.

Playa Pocillos

The Playa Pocillos apartments are in a popular location as it is situated only 300 meters away from the beach where the hotel gets it's name, shopping centre and restaurants of Matagorda. The nearest supermarket is just 100 meters away. The Playa Pocillos apartments are set within their own well-tended gardens and are a popular choice for couples and families alike.

Once again each apartment has all mod-cons with a fully equipped kitchen, separate twin bedroom and a sofa bed, bathroom with bath and shower.

Both Playa Pocillos and Las Marinas are under the same management, and both complexes are maintained to a high standard, to ensure the enjoyment and comfort of all guests.
